Job summary

Lumos & Associates, a leader in civil engineering, seeks a Water/Wastewater Senior Engineer to join our Roseville, CA office. This role offers technical leadership, oversight of complex projects, and mentorship of junior staff in our Water/Wastewater practice.

The ideal candidate will lead design efforts for sanitary sewer systems, pump stations, storage facilities, hydraulic modeling, and treatment facilities, while managing budgets and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 6+ years of progressive water/wastewater design experience.
• California P.E. license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record with 3 or fewer demerit points.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee, and direct the project design team during the execution of projects in responsible charge.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to staff.
• Provide technical review (QA/QC) of projects.
• Leads the development of engineering drawings using CAD/Civil 3D software.
• Prepares or guides the preparation of due diligence/site analysis reports and cost estimates.
• Serves as the engineer in responsible charge for final civil design drawings and stamp project deliverables.
• Leads field visits and construction site visits, and assists with construction activities.
• Prepares models or guides computer modeling for water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
