Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks a Water Resources Engineer for our Transportation Practice in Owings Mills, MD or Fairfax, VA. You will manage projects, mentor staff, and interact with clients while supporting national infrastructure improvements.

The ideal candidate leads stormwater and hydraulic design efforts, with strong communication skills and a PE license preferred. MDOT/VDOT experience is a plus; 8+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as MD/VA PE preferred.
• 8+ years progressive water resources design experience.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic software including HEC-RAS, SWMM, HY-8, ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for MDOT, VDOT, DDOT and others.
• Develop design plans including storm drains, culverts, BMPs, and erosion control facilities.
• Coordinate design development and mentor water resource staff.
• Interface with client staff and project managers; assist with specifications and cost estimates.
