Job summary
STV Incorporated seeks a Lead Water Resources Engineer/PM to spearhead transportation infrastructure projects across Virginia, with an option to base in Fairfax, Richmond, Virginia Beach, or Owings Mills, MD. You will guide design, mentor staff, and manage public-sector client relationships while delivering high-impact solutions.
You will lead hydrology/hydraulic analyses, design stormwater systems and drainage, coordinate with road, structural and environmental teams, and ensure regulatory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years in water resources design, preferably for transportation.
- PE license in VA/DC preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
- Demonstrated hydrology/hydraulic expertise.
- Experience with stormwater design and ESC permitting.
Responsibilities
- Lead water resources design for road, rail and highway projects.
- Design stormwater systems, drainage, culverts and hydraulic structures.
- Apply hydrology/hydraulic analysis to decisions and compliance.
- Coordinate stormwater permitting and regulatory coordination.
- Prepare reports, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Provide QA/QC and mentor junior engineers.
