Job summary

The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Utilities Field Specialist Supervisor position in the Water Distribution division. The selected candidate will supervise the maintenance and repair to the city water distribution system.

This essential role requires strong supervisory skills, project coordination, safety adherence, and customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in the assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be used.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, assign work, and monitor performance.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects with required resources.
• Provide customer service to the public and internal/external clients.
• Inspect structures, lines, and equipment; address issues promptly.
• Maintain timesheets, records, and routine reports.
• Read GIS maps and update GIS drawings as needed.
