Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Lead Operator for the wastewater treatment plant to supervise Operators and O&M Technicians in daily operations and maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, process control, and coordination with maintenance staff to ensure reliable plant performance.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in wastewater plant operation, and possess a Grade IV+ wastewater operator certificate along with a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant.
• Ability to respond to unplanned events as facility lead.
• Valid Driver's License and CDL where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the main control system.
• Perform wastewater process control and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff on preventive and corrective tasks.
• Perform cleaning and general housekeeping in work areas and equipment.
• May work in sanitary sewerage collection systems and operate heavy equipment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and train assigned helpers as needed.
