Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart, Inc. in The Colony, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II to coordinate staff across ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping. You will oversee supplies, tools, equipment and parts in the warehouse and on the sales floor, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You will monitor workloads, coach and develop staff, enforce attendance and safety policies, and help meet daily goals while maintaining high service standards for customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years’ warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Coach, train, hire and support staff; provide regular feedback and recognition.
• Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events and regular shifts.
• Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and correct unsafe operating behaviors.
• Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines when short-staffed.
