Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in New York is hiring a Plant Operator Lead to supervise production activities in our healthcare waste treatment facility. This role involves checking in containers, loading/unloading, operating a forklift, and ensuring timely transport readiness.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, strong organization, problem solving, and a commitment to safety. This is a non-seasonal, full-time position with benefits; the offered rate is $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills are required.
• Good understanding of safety processes and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all production activities to ensure completion.
• Load/unload trucks and trailers on site and prepare transports.
• Prepare and pack customer orders for transport.
• Manage training and assist employees and new hires.
• Maintain high standards of finish and attention to detail.
• Enforce budgets, timelines, and deadlines.
• Oversee OSHA compliance and safety.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of production area and facilities.
• Lead and motivate staff; allocate resources for manufacture.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction.
