Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Plant Operator for its Walton, KY medical waste treatment facility. You will lift heavy bins, weigh containers, operate an autoclave, and run the Washsmart system while maintaining meticulous paperwork.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and comfort working long shifts in PPE. The company offers full-time benefits, a direct hire track, and stable, non-seasonal hours (2PM-12:30AM, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Standing for extended periods in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate the autoclave machine
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization
• Carry out paperwork accurately to process containers
• Stand for extended periods while performing duties
• Collaborate effectively with team
