Job summary

SEA Wire and Cable is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee the department, coordinate strategy with SEA-wide objectives, and align daily tasks with broader warehouse goals.

The role emphasizes staff development, process improvements, and maintaining smooth product flow while meeting lead times and safety standards. Collaboration with leadership and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Microsoft, and general computer software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to effectively communicate with a variety of personnel throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintains product flow according to set, standard lead times set out by the Assistant Warehouse Manager.
• Recommend new/improved equipment upgrades or redesigns to improve end quality, safety, or efficiencies.
• Inventory basic replacement products – pots/fuses/switches – plus common motors, boards, heater elements, etc.
• Maintains physical condition of department area of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, overseeing equipment inspections, etc.
• Maintains staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
• Develops staff to meet daily performance goals by assisting in coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance.
• Contributes to warehouse goals by accomplishing and meeting daily metrics related to the overall performance of Warehouse objectives.
