Job summary

The Gowan Co. is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse operations at our California facility in Chualar.

This salaried, exempt role coordinates inventory, staff supervision, and logistics to ensure accurate storage, timely shipping, and compliance with safety standards. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or logistics and at least 5 years in warehouse management, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in warehouse management or logistics role in agriculture/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehousing practices (WMS familiarity).
• Proven leadership and team development abilities; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping.
• Ensure accurate, timely order processing from receipt to delivery.
• Develop procedures to optimize storage, space usage and inventory mgmt.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and safety procedures per regulations.
• Coordinate with production to align warehousing with schedules; report KPIs.
• Lead, train, and supervise full-time and seasonal staff; provide feedback.
