Job summary

Gowan Seed California in Chualar, CA, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, inventory control, and staff supervision. You will ensure accurate order fulfillment, manage shipping/receiving, and drive safety and efficiency across the supply chain.

The role requires 5+ years in warehouse management, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience in warehouse management accepted.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field, with preference for experience in the agricultural or industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehousing practices, including familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day activities in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of products.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all orders, from receipt to delivery.
• Develop and implement procedures for optimizing warehouse operations, including product storage, space utilization, and inventory management.
• Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order.
• Establish and monitor safety procedures, ensuring that all warehouse activities are compliant with safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with the production team to align warehousing activities with production schedules, ensuring timely supply of materials.
• Ensure that storage conditions meet industry standards to maintain quality and prevent damage or loss.
