Job summary

Xpress Global Systems is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee dock, driver, and warehousing operations at the Service Center in Grand Prairie, TX. You will manage daily driver and dock activities, enforce SOPs, and ensure safe, efficient freight handling in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes supervision, shift planning, and coordination with customers, with a focus on safety, OSHA/DOT compliance, and minimizing claims through proper OS&D procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant LTL or Warehouse experience.
• Cross Docking experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Dispatching experience preferred.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead and direct loading/unloading of freight; may supervise delivery.
• Train, monitor and enforce dock loading procedures.
• Ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operation; monitor load forecasts.
• Assist in supervision of dock and driving personnel.
• Assist in shift planning and job assignment; may plan driver routes and dispatch drivers.
• Close loads on outbound trailers; ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Interface with customers for will-call freight, tracking and inquiries.
• Complete reports and inspection sheets; ensure compliance with regulations.
