Job summary

Xpress Global Systems (XGS) is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee dock, driver and warehousing activities at the service center. You will direct daily freight handling, ensure safety procedures, and optimize resources to meet destination schedules.

The role focuses on supervising staff, coordinating loads, and enforcing OS&D standards while maintaining customer service quality and compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant LTL or warehouse experience.
• Cross-docking experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Dispatching experience preferred.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise loading and unloading of freight and dock personnel.
• Train and enforce dock loading, freight flow and bar-coding procedures.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation; monitor load forecasts.
• Assist in shift planning, job assignments, and driver routing.
• Interface with customers for will-call freight, tracking, and inquiries.
• Complete reports and inspection sheets; ensure OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Minimize claims and damages through OS&D SOP adherence.
