Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Grand Prairie, TX warehouse to lead a team of hourly associates and drive day-to-day tasks. You will supervise loading/unloading, cross-docking, customer service, and scheduling to meet service and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities include hiring participation, coaching, and ensuring safety, productivity, and process improvements. This role reports to Penske Logistics LLC and offers an opportunity for growth within the Penske

Qualifications

• Strong written/oral communication skills are required
• Ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change
• Ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain training and competency of supervisors and associates
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation
• Interview hourly associates and provide hire recommendations
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance, with coaching and counseling
• Manage overtime and productivity targets while ensuring safety and compliance
