Lead, Warehouse
Location: Groveport
Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead works closely with Operations Supervisor to establish, create, implement, and enforce company initiatives/policies while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and quality for our internal and external customers. Provides work direction to warehouse workers daily to increase warehouse efficiency and accuracy by communicating with fellow Leads to ensure a smooth flow of product.
What You Will Do
- You will act as a liaison between management and team members.
- You will enforce company policies and procedures. Provides feedback to Supervisor when inconsistencies are observed.
- You will meet deadlines and goals established by department supervisor or manager.
- You will provide feedback to supervisor on strengths and development needs of team members.
- You will deliver monthly performance reviews to agency temporary staff.
- You will lead by example. Approachable. Follows through on promises and commitments. Demonstrates consistency between words and actions.
- You will monitor the break schedules of the employees in their section and hold them accountable to the schedule.
- You will maintain and enforce company Safety and Security policies.
- You will recognize the impact of own decisions on company, customers, and team members.
- You will support the supervisor with establishing goals based on department headcount, delegating tasks, using reporting to monitor progress and providing updates to leadership on obstacles and issues.
Who You Are
- You are someone with minimum of one (1) year experience as a warehouse worker, or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
- You are someone with experience using warehouse equipment and RF scanner preferred.
- You have the ability to learn & perform all warehouse processes as needed.
- You are someone with minimum of two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- You have the ability to drive Powered Industrial Equipment (Reach truck, Double pallet rider) preferred.
- You are someone with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- You are someone with problem solving skills.
- You are someone with strong English language, math, reading, and writing skills.
- You have experience using business tools such as PC or Laptop, Outlook, Word, Excel and Inventory management systems.
