Job summary

Barclays seeks a Principal Wallet Security Engineer – Digital Assets to define and deliver the security architecture for Barclays' wallet platform, enabling secure handling of digital assets across networks.

The role leads cryptographic signing workflows, key management, and transaction controls, partnering with engineering, cyber security, risk, and operations to build an institutional-grade, regulated wallet solution.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and securing institutional wallet platforms with signing workflows.
• Hands-on work with HSMs, MPC and enterprise key management in regulated environments.
• Leadership in threat modeling, risk assessments and architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver security architecture for Barclays' wallet platform.
• Secure signing services, key management capabilities and transaction controls.
• Collaborate with engineering, cyber security, infra, risk and architecture teams.
• Drive secure-by-design practices across platform lifecycle and resilience testing.
