Job summary

The Sentinel Firm, APC in Los Angeles is seeking attorneys with experience litigating California wage and hour class actions or PAGA cases. You will handle wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters involving overtime, meal and rest breaks, business expenses, and related claims.

You will develop case strategy, manage discovery, draft and argue motions, appear in state and federal court, and mentor junior attorneys as your experience allows.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• Two+ years of relevant litigation experience, including wage and hour class actions or PAGA.
• Strong legal writing and the ability to develop and explain a litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage deadlines and client relationships.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with other attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

• Developing case strategy from the initial investigation through settlement or trial.
• Managing written discovery and taking and defending depositions.
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions.
• Appearing in state and federal court.
• Working directly with clients and coordinating with the attorneys and staff assigned to your cases.
• Leading cases and mentoring junior attorneys as your experience allows.
