Job summary

Wilshire Law Firm invites an Associate Attorney to join our Wage & Hour Class Actions & PAGA team in California. You will handle complex employment litigation matters, develop strategy, and mentor alongside accomplished litigators.

Two+ years' experience in Wage & Hour, PAGA, or Class Actions and active California Bar membership are required. The role offers meaningful ownership, mentorship, and opportunities across major jurisdictions, including Oakland.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience handling Wage & Hour, PAGA, or Class Action matters.
• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong litigation, legal research, and analytical skills.
• Persuasive written and oral advocacy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High level of ownership with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of Wage & Hour Class Action and PAGA matters with support from senior attorneys and staff.
• Develop case strategies for matters in California state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation briefs, and other filings.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases toward resolution.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments and strategy.
• Contribute to trial preparation and other critical phases of litigation.
