DoorDash is seeking a Principal Designer to set the look and feel of merchant products across DashOS, shaping a recognizable identity across software and hardware. You will prototype in React, use AI tools, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to ship cohesive experiences for merchants.

You will own the design system foundation, mentor designers, and raise the bar across the team, with a hybrid work model requiring 1–2 days in a design hub.

• Proven track record crafting high-visual-impact interfaces across complex products.
• Experience shipping across web and mobile with a strong design system.
• Ability to mentor designers and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Set the visual direction for merchant products and unify multiple teams around a shared vision.
• Ship high-craft interfaces with a clear point of view for DashOS.
• Own the visual foundation of the design system and define tokens and components.
• Design for new surfaces such as POS, handheld, and hardware with no existing paradigm.
• Influence through prototypes and production-ready work while elevating team standards.
• Mentor senior designers and help recruit strong talent.
