Job summary

CAE is seeking a Lead Visual Database Engineer to head the design, development, and maintenance of real‑time visual, radar, and 3‑D databases for C‑17 training systems. You will supervise a team, set priorities, and ensure on‑time delivery while coordinating with the TSSC Engineering group and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of eight years of related experience.
• Six+ years of experience in visual database development, simulation systems, or related field.
• Experience leading technical work, coordinating projects, and mentoring engineers.
• U.S. citizenship required due to DoD contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day‑to‑day activities of assigned Visual Database Engineers, establishing priorities and monitoring progress.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership for design, development, and maintenance of visual and radar databases used in simulation and training.
• Coordinate with TSSC Engineering group and SMEs to ensure milestones, customer commitments, and standards are met.
• Review designs, technical documentation, and implementation artifacts for quality and compliance.
• Mentor team members, reinforce processes, and manage competing priorities and schedules.
• Lead testing activities, troubleshooting, and certification of software and database products.
