CAE in Arlington, Texas is seeking a Lead Geospatial Engineer to develop real-time geo-spatial database content for simulation and training. This role involves leading projects and managing a team of database developers.
The ideal candidate will have a background in GIS, strong communication skills, and a passion for innovation. A Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in image science and project management are required.
This position resides within the Content & HPC (High Performance Computing) group, specifically as a Lead Geospatial Engineer performing as a project lead in the development of real‑time geo‑spatial database content for simulation & training.

The Lead Geospatial Engineer will have strong GIS, 3D modeling, and visualization skills to join our team of experienced and dedicated geo‑spatial database developers. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate and delegate work tasks to others, as well as provide oversight and guidance as needed. Experience in both Windows and LINUX development is a plus. The ideal candidate performs productively in a fast‑paced work environment, seeks out innovative solutions to problems, has excellent communication and leadership skills, works well independently and as part of a team including customer interactions, and is passionate about their work and eager to be part of a dynamic group of focused and creative individuals.
The employee is expected to assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions in a collaborative environment. Candidate must be willing to work assignments within agreed‑to budgets and schedules. Solutions must be consistent with organizational processes.
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods.
