CAE USA Inc. is seeking a Visual Database Engineer to design and maintain real-time visual and 3-D databases for C-17 training systems. You will work with engineers, instructors, and SMEs to ensure accuracy, performance, and seamless integration.
Role requires hands-on development of visual and RADAR databases, software installation, and rigorous testing. U.S. citizenship is required due to DoD contracts; travel may be involved.

The Visual Database Engineer provides technical expertise to support the Engineering team in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining real-time visual and 3-D databases used in C-17 Training Systems (TS). This role performs full lifecycle development of 3-D models and terrain environments for simulation and mission rehearsal applications. Responsibilities include generating new database designs, modifying existing visual and RADAR databases, supporting software installation and testing, and ensuring that all products meet established standards for accuracy, performance, and reliability. The Visual Database Engineer collaborates closely with Test Engineers, Pilot Instructors, and Subject Matter Experts to validate design implementation and ensure seamless integration within the training system.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or a minimum of eight years of related experience. Minimum of four years of experience in visual database development or a related technical field. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work may be performed in office environments, simulator facilities, or computer rooms. May require working near or around flight simulation equipment and computer systems. Must be able to climb and use stairs. Occasional travel may be required based on program needs.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on computer-based design tasks. Ability to engage with simulator hardware components during testing or evaluation activities.
