Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society seeks a full-time Hospital Manager to lead the Sunnyslope Trauma Hospital and champion its core values of innovation, compassion, and excellence. You will guide a high-performing team, oversee staffing, training, and daily operations, and maintain strong communication with veterinarians, staff, leadership, and HR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred or 3–5 years of management experience.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a veterinary medicine role.
  • Minimum 3 years veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
  • Knowledge of AZ Premise and DEA requirements preferred.
  • Experience in an animal welfare organization preferred.
  • Ability to develop budgets and estimate costs.
  • Adept at solving complex problems and balancing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Sunnyslope Trauma Hospital.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team; oversee staffing and training.
  • Ensure efficient hospital operations and compliance with policies and safety standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, purchasing, and monitoring operational data.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, employees, leadership, and HR.
  • Address challenges and implement positive changes to improve patient care.
