Job summary

Tufts V.E.T.S. is a multispecialty emergency and critical care facility affiliated with Tufts University. We seek a Specialty Technician Supervisor to oversee cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, pharmacy, and radiology services, coaching staff and improving patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years working in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician.
• Minimum 3 years working in specialty and/or emergency medicine preferred.
• Must support and foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and empathy.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills; calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the specialty services (cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, pharmacy, radiology).
• Lead and coach team members; model best practices in client/patient interactions.
• Ensure efficient workflows, task delegation, and high patient care standards.
• Maintain schedules, staffing, and onboarding for specialty services; participate in recruitment and evaluations.
• Attend leadership meetings and collaborate across departments to advance hospital mission.
