Westlake Animal Hospital in Austin, TX is seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician to oversee daily patient care, mentor technicians and assistants, support surgery and anesthesia, and partner with hospital leadership to elevate care.

You will lead onboarding, scheduling, and workflow improvements, ensure accurate medical records, maintain compliant operations, and foster a collaborative, compassionate team that delivers outstanding client and patient experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience in a general practice setting.
• Previous lead/shift supervisor or mentoring experience.
• Strong surgery, anesthesia support, and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to teamwork and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and assistants daily.
• Provide ongoing coaching and skill development to the team.
