Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA in Veterinary Technology, LAT, or related experience preferred.
• Eligible to take LATG certification.
• Experience with animals in biomedical research or companion animal practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily rounds and preliminary health exams for sick animals.
• Examine incoming animals and assist with animal surveillance programs.
• Coordinate service requests between staff and researchers.
• Administer drugs and record usage in logs.
• Use ICU equipment and monitor vital signs.
• Assist in positioning animals for exams or treatment.
• Maintain accurate records and logbooks for the facility.
• Support scheduling and training to optimize animal care.
• Ensure AAALAC accreditation maintenance and safety compliance.
