Job summary

Priority One Services, Inc. seeks a Veterinary Technician III to supervise daily rounds, conduct preliminary health exams, and assist with animal care for small laboratory animals.

You will coordinate service requests between staff and researchers and ensure AAALAC accreditation standards are maintained. The role requires knowledge of veterinary terminology, strong clinical skills, and experience in animal care environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and an AA degree in Veterinary Technology or AALAS LAT, or experience with animals in biomedical research or companion animal practice.
• Eligible to take LATG certification.
• Prior lead veterinary technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead VT in assigned areas and coordinate staff schedules.
• Communicate with veterinarians, researchers, and colleagues on animal care.
• Provide care to research animals and report issues to Attending Veterinarian.
• Administer drugs and record drug use in logs.
• Maintain records and logs contemporaneously.
