Pieper Veterinary in Middletown, CT seeks an Urgent Care Assistant Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and deliver outstanding patient care and client service. This is a hands-on leadership role with a 50/50 split between leadership duties and direct clinical support to the team.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in urgent care, with skills in scheduling, interviewing, onboarding, mentoring, anesthesia knowledge, and high-quality

• 3 years veterinary technician experience, preferably in urgent care.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, onboarding and scheduling staff.
• Ability to mentor and develop growth plans for employees.
• Hands-on leadership with veterinary technician duties as needed.
• Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and staff performance.
• Interview, hire, onboard and schedule team members.
• Mentor employees and develop growth plans.
• Collaborate with area hospital managers to improve workflows.
• Provide clinical support on the hospital floor as needed.
