Job summary

Utah State University invites applications for Clinical Director of the Distributed Veterinary Teaching Program (DVTP). The role leads clinical education across multiple sites, supervising the DVTP team and coordinating with preceptors and partners to ensure high-quality student learning.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Director oversees program administration, curriculum development, and quality assurance while traveling to affiliated sites in Utah and the Intermountain Region as needed.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Eligibility for Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher.
• 7+ years of professional veterinary experience post-graduation.
• Current US veterinary licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for DVTP teaching and ensure high-quality clinical education across distributed sites.
• Oversee DVTP operations, staff, and partnerships to meet accreditation and program goals.
• Develop and refine clinical-year curriculum, assessments, and faculty development.
• Coordinate with preceptors and external partners to maintain program quality and clinical readiness.
