Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or equivalent.
• Eligible for appointment at Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher.
• At least seven years of professional veterinary experience.
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in a U.S. state or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Demonstrated veterinary professional leadership.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, teaching, or supporting the development of veterinarians, veterinary students, staff.
• Ability to organize and coordinate complex programs involving multiple personnel and external partners.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of work time, including overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Facility with contemporary communication, educational, and information technologies necessary to support a geographically distributed clinical program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the DVTP's clinical education quality and ongoing development.
• Direct the DVTP program administration, scheduling, and partner coordination.
• Oversee preceptor training, readiness, and evaluation of clinical sites.
• Lead program governance, policy development, and accreditation alignment.
• Foster relationships with affiliated partners and external stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent supervision, feedback, entrustment, and patient safety across sites.
• Monitor program data and outcomes to drive continuous quality improvement.
• Represent the College in meetings with clinical partners and professional bodies.
