Bedrock Veterinary Specialists in Cornelius, NC is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to lead anesthesia, monitor patients, and assist surgeons in a high-volume referral setting. Graduate of an AVMA-accredited program with a current state license; experience in anesthesia and surgical nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Experience in anesthesia, surgical nursing, or a specialty/referral environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, drug calculation, phlebotomy, and IV catheter placement.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced situations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring: induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia and adjust depth as needed.
• Ensure Precise Drug Calculation and Administration: calculate, prepare, and administer medications.
• Master Surgical Assisting and Sterile Technique: assist surgeons and maintain aseptic technique.
• Perform Phlebotomy and Diagnostics: venipuncture, collect samples, place IV catheters, assist with radiographs.
• Provide Post-Operative and Critical Care: monitor recovery, manage pain protocols, assist in critical cases.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: discharge patients and review post-surgical plans with clients.
• Drive Operational Excellence and Mentorship: maintain records, train teammates, ensure readiness between procedures.
