Job summary

Entarian is seeking a Lead VDI System Engineer to support NIWC Atlantic’s E2S2 Division, focusing on CSfC-compliant secure communication and DAR architectures for multi-layer encryption. You will design, implement, and document secure solutions across mobility, network enclaves, and remote access, ensuring interoperability with partner networks and compliance for accreditation.

Travel up to 45 days per year; 4 days a week on-site with one optional telework day; core hours 0900–1300.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years with Bachelor’s degree or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience demonstrating competency in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E) or Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/ Certification & Accreditation (C&A) related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, with direct, hands‑on work with CSfC capability packages.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing DAR solutions using commercial encryption technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of NSA CSfC Capability Packages, high assurance architectures, and secure mobility frameworks.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the RMF process and/or include prior experience with the DIACAP.

• Develop and manage Data-at-Rest (DAR) architectures in line with CSfC capability packages to ensure multi-layer encryption.

• Incorporate and ensure interoperability with coalition and partner networks, maintaining security and compliance across disparate environments.
• Produce comprehensive engineering documentation, such as system designs, configuration guides, and security artifacts for accreditation.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify and address system vulnerabilities, and enhance the security of classified communication systems.
• Provide troubleshooting and incident response support in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure secure and efficient end-to-end system performance.

Entarian is seeking a Lead Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) System Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure communication solutions using layered commercial products that comply with NSA's CSfC program requirements.

• Create and maintain compliant CSfC solutions for a variety of applications including mobility, network enclaves, and remote access.
• Incorporate and ensure interoperability with coalition and partner networks, maintaining security and compliance across disparate environments.
• Produce comprehensive engineering documentation, such as system designs, configuration guides, and security artifacts for accreditation.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify and address system vulnerabilities, and enhance the security of classified communication systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and/or include prior experience with the Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
• Proven experience working with Information Assurance tools such as DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and may be required to hold an Interim Security Control Assessor qualification.
• Familiar with security policies & guidance documents to assist with the preparation and maintenance of process artifacts and traceability documents purposed for compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
• Capable of evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information, and supervise and/or maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program.
• Proven experience assisting or developing system security policy and ensuring compliance of change management and configuration control processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, secure environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Active Top Secret Level Clearance

Available to Travel up to 45 days per year / several weeklong CONUS and OCONUS trips

• 4 days a week on‑site and one optional telework
• Core hours are 0900 – 1300

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP/CCIE Security, or other professional‑level certifications.
• Experience with commercial security products from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, VMWare, or Juniper.
