Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to coordinate daily activities of the vascular staff, supervise ultrasound operations, and maintain current IAC requirements for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

In this role you will collaborate with the manager to lead the Vascular Lab, provide complex technical care with ultrasound, monitor patient flow and safety, and uphold high standards of patient care in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
• Must meet requirements of highest leveled Vascular Sonography Technologist at the assigned entity
• 5 years of experience in hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory setting as a vascular sonographer preferred
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (BLS) upon Hire required and registered RVT or RVS upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Daily coordination of the activities of the vascular staff, technical supervision including maintaining current technical requirements of IAC
• Provide team management of the Vascular Lab
• Able to provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Monitors patient care delivery and facilitates patient flow
