Job summary

Pioneer Industrial Corporation in Illinois is seeking a skilled valve technician to support maintenance and repair operations across industrial sectors. You will follow safety and quality procedures, operate hoists, sand blasters, and welding tools, and help disassemble and inspect valves per manuals.

Responsibilities include documenting data in the ValvKeep system, coordinating with office staff on repairs, keeping work areas clean, and potentially field assignments or climbs to access

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade schooling preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools and ability to learn the trade.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail and concise communication.
• Willingness to travel and maintain a valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow Pioneer Safety and Quality procedures and regulations.
• Operate equipment – overhead hoists, sand blaster, parts washer, torch.
• Disassemble valve per manual without damaging parts.
• Document data in ValvKeep and photograph outcomes.
• Coordinate with office staff on repair requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; upkeep of surrounding equipment.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components; return parts to proper bins.
• Assemble, calibrate, and certify valves per manuals.
• Assist in field assignments when required; may involve elevations.
• Operate a motor vehicle as needed; attend safety training.
