Job summary

Micron Technology in Colorado is seeking a hands-on senior validation engineer to own customer-focused system validation of enterprise and data-center SSDs, including execution, debugging, qualification, and cross-functional coordination.

You will plan validation cycles, build environments, and drive root-cause analysis across firmware, hardware and software, mentoring developing engineers and shaping test strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or related field with 8+ years in validation roles.
• Strong knowledge of NVMe and PCIe protocols and debugging across hardware/software.
• Hands-on system-level validation in complex HW/SW environments.
• Experience collaborating with firmware, hardware and systems teams.
• Proficiency in Python or C/C++ and validation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run customer-specific system and SSD validation cycles, including regressions and qualification runs.
• Set up validation environments and analyze test results to drive root-cause resolution.
• Debug system- and drive-level issues and reproduce customer-reported issues.
• Develop and enhance validation test cases, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Own the validation process for assigned programs while mentoring developing engineers and shaping test strategy.
