Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager/Architect to support the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) on multiple non-recurring maintenance projects at the VA campus in Tuskegee, AL.

The role blends construction management leadership with architectural review to ensure design, scheduling, and field operations meet VA standards. Responsibilities include design-phase support, scheduling, cost control, commissioning, and thorough project documentation,

Qualifications

Licensed professional and architecture degree.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in design and construction, with a focus on medical facilities.
Ability to understand local/state/federal jurisdictions and project requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide CM-A services during design and construction phases, advising on operations, renovation, and new construction.
Support planning, scheduling, design reviews, code compliance, testing, QA/QC, cost control and records for VA projects.
Maintain project schedules, track progress, and coordinate with general contractors and Resident Engineer.
Conduct and document progress meetings and assist in resolving project issues.
Oversee testing/inspection activities and commissioning for facility systems.
