Job summary

Progressive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, design, procurement and construction on high-value utility electrical substation and transmission line projects delivering power from 500kV to 12kV. You will ensure adherence to client design, cost, schedule and quality, and uphold safety values.

You will coordinate internal teams and external consultants, manage budgets and schedules, develop study reports and contract documents, and provide ongoing project risk

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of project management experience.
• Utility, power delivery, transmission, or substation project experience.
• Experience coordinating external engineering consultants and internal project stakeholders.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Ability to support multiple active projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to perform field visits and coordinate with construction crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead PM activities for substation and transmission facilities from 500kV to 12kV, aligning with objectives.
• Direct matrix team of engineering, construction, testing and commissioning; be primary contact with customers.
• Support study reports, work scope, BOMs, constructability plans, RFPs, specs and contracts.
• Communicate project updates to management; maintain records and risk visibility.
• Develop and maintain standard processes and procedures for all project stakeholders.
• Establish and monitor budget and schedule; provide team leadership to meet targets.
• Manage procurement/awards including consultants, long-lead-time equipment, and construction contracts.
