Job summary

Arizona State University seeks a Skilled Crafts and Trade Assistant 3 Non-Exempt to lead trades work focused on plumbing, piping systems, and steam infrastructure. You will install, repair and maintain complex systems, with emphasis on precision metal joining and safety.

The role is based on the Tempe campus, with potential assignments to other ASU locations as required. A strong background in plumbing and mechanical-pipefitting is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years plumbing/mechanical-pipefitting experience.
• Four year technical plumbing training or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience reading plans, drawings, specs and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and utility piping systems.
• Inspect components and perform precision brazing/soldering.
• Work from drawings and specifications and with safety protocols.
