Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Foreman to supervise a crew performing line clearance and tree trimming for major electric utilities. This on-site role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience with climbing and equipment operation.

The position emphasizes safety, coordination with ground staff, and efficient completion of tasks. A CDL with airbrake endorsement is mandatory, with opportunities for career advancement within a large, employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Commercial driver’s license with airbrake endorsement is required.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience required.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew and oversee line clearance and tree trimming for major electric utilities.
• Direct crew and equipment; plan and execute assigned work.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including saws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Perform all duties as required.
