Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks a Foreman to lead a field crew in utility line clearance.

You will supervise line clearance and tree trimming for major electric utilities, directing crews and equipment to complete tasks safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate holds a CDL with airbrake endorsement, relevant licenses, and electric utility tree trimming experience, with a commitment to safety and high-quality work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• REQUIRED: CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• Certificates and Licenses if necessary; pesticide/ herbicide licenses as applicable.
• Line clearance certification for work near transmission lines.
• ISA Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• REQUIRED: Electric utility tree trimming experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for electric utilities.
• Directs crew members and equipment and plans/executes assigned work.
• Maintains proper use of tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
