Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Toms River, NJ, is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson to supervise a crew performing utility line clearance, pruning and tree trimming for major electric utilities. On-site work requires CDL with airbrake and relevant licenses.

Responsibilities include directing crew and equipment, planning tasks, and maintaining tools, with union benefits, PTO, health plan and advancement opportunities offered by an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Commercial driver’s license with airbrake endorsement required.
• Line clearance certification if working near transmission lines.
• ISA Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew and direct line clearance work.
• Prune treetops and trim trees near utilities.
• Direct crew members and equipment; plan and execute tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment; ensure readiness.
• Coordinate with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
