Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Construction to oversee utility construction projects and lead day-to-day operations. You will manage projects, crews, equipment, budgets, and subcontractors while ensuring safety, timeliness, and cost control.

The role partners with field teams, company leadership, and customers to review blueprints, contracts, and specifications, coordinate subcontractors, schedule work, and drive on-schedule delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracting practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems, and lead teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer/data entry tasks.
• Experience with project estimating, bidding, and change order management.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility construction projects from start to finish.
• Schedule crews, assign work, and oversee job performance and quality.
• Support hiring and maintain employee documentation.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices.
• Track project costs, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review blueprints, drawings, contracts, and project specifications.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors.
• Oversee company vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
• Attend meetings with leadership, customers, and project teams.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
