Job summary

Expert Executive Recruiters (EER Global) seeks a Director, Utility-Scale Solar Construction to lead a portfolio of large-scale solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.

The role requires a senior construction leader with 10+ years in complex projects, preferably in utility-scale solar or renewable energy, strong contract and risk management skills, and proven team leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction project management or development.
• Experience with large-scale, complex construction projects; utility-scale solar or renewable energy strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing contractors and multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Oversee General Contractors, EPC partners, engineering firms, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Lead projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
• Establish and improve construction processes, standards, and best practices.

We are seeking an experienced Director, Utility-Scale Solar Construction to lead a portfolio of large-scale, utility-scale solar projects. This senior leadership role will oversee construction strategy, project execution, teams, contractors, and key project partners from pre-construction through completion.

The ideal candidate will be a proven construction leader with experience managing complex projects and high-performing teams, ideally within utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power, or infrastructure.
