Job summary

The City of Oxford seeks an Accounting Supervisor for Oxford Utilities to manage accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting for Electric and Water divisions. The role supervises one staff member and interfaces with city departments and TVA compliance.

Requires a Bachelor's in accounting and utility accounting experience; strong Excel skills and familiarity with TVA contracts and FERC accounting. Office-based position with standard hours and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Two years of accounting experience in a utility is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Remits utility payments monthly to City departments.
• Prepares monthly billings for TVA Joint Cost Study.
• Ensures compliance with EPC & reporting to PERS and federal agencies.
• Maintains general ledger per TVA contract and FERC accounts.
• Supports auditors during annual audits for Electric and Water Division.
