Job summary

Lexington Health Blythewood Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Lead to supervise and coordinate the front-end registration for urgent care services. You will greet and register patients, collect demographic and financial information, obtain consents, ensure proper authorizations, and support billing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of experience in healthcare setting and/or Customer Service area.
• Technical knowledge of PC and software applications; Familiar with registration requirements /documentation, insurance, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Verifies demographic and financial information to ensure the accuracy of the patient’s Medical Record and collects and accurately reports Point of Service Collections.
• Interview patients and/or their representatives to obtain demographic and financial information.
• Responsible for obtaining proper consent on adults as well as minors.
• Responsible for working with each department to ensure registrations are completed before patient leaves.
• Responsible for obtaining copies/scanning of picture ID and insurance cards.
• Responsible for obtaining necessary signatures for registration.
