Job summary

Lexington Health Blythewood Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative for full-time day shifts. You will greet, register, and collect essential demographics and financial information from patients presenting for urgent care services.

The role requires handling at the bedside, signing consent forms, and collecting payments while maintaining accurate records and excellent patient relations.

Qualifications

• Experience with personal computers (PC’s), strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work well with people under potentially stressful situations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks with flexibility and good prioritization.
• Familiar with medical terminology and billing processes.
• Willingness to adapt to emergencies, disasters and staffing changes.
• Analytical thinking to produce accurate work while maintaining efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients for Urgent Care services and collect demographic and financial information.
• Register patients at bedside when required and manage signatures and consents.
• Collect payments at point of service and ensure accurate billing records.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer relations with patients and staff.
• Coordinate with departments and communicate effectively by phone and in person.
• Support disaster drills and rapid response as needed.
