You will direct a team of underwriters and team leads, optimize workflows, and ensure alignment with SLAs and risk strategies while collaborating across departments to meet business objectives. The role emphasizes policy development, regulatory compliance, and driving technology enhancements to support complex loan scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance or business.
• 7+ years in residential/commercial lending with RTL/DSCR underwriting exposure.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Proficient with loan origination systems (Encompass preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriters to ensure efficient loan approvals.
• Optimize a dynamic loan pipeline and allocate resources effectively.
• Oversee underwriting of complex residential and commercial loans.
• Review and approve loans beyond individual underwriter authority.
• Develop and implement underwriting policies aligning with risk strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and investor requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive risk management.
• Provide mentorship and performance feedback to team members.
