Atlanta Life is seeking a Lead Underwriter for Advanced Life Insurance Markets in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on coordinating specialized life insurance solutions for high-net-worth individuals, reviewing complex cases, and guiding them from initial review to policy issuance.

You’ll collaborate with clients, agents, carriers, and underwriting teams, bringing strong analytical and relationship-building skills to optimize coverage and risk assessment.

Formación

• A degree in actuarial science, business administration, insurance, or data/predictive analytics preferred.
• At least five years of life insurance underwriting experience.
• At least three years underwriting customized life insurance policies for high-income and high-net-worth individuals.
• At least three years evaluating complex or high-face-amount life insurance cases.
• Seven or more years of relevant underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience with digital underwriting, process improvements, or data analytics preferred.
• An established network of high-net-worth prospective clients and referral sources preferred

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate medical, financial, occupational, and lifestyle risks to develop underwriting recommendations and proposed coverage structures for leadership review and approval.
• Coordinate applications, medical records, financial documentation, and other requirements throughout the underwriting and policy issuance process.
• Partner with carriers and underwriting teams to assess eligibility, resolve questions, and address barriers to coverage.
• Review coverage amounts, policy terms, exclusions, and financial justification to support appropriate insurance solutions.
• Serve as a primary contact for assigned cases, clearly communicating requirements, progress, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records and protect confidential information in accordance with applicable regulations, privacy requirements, and company policies.
• Stay informed about life insurance products, carrier guidelines, and market practices, and identify opportunities to improve case coordination and processing.
• Collaborate with the Actuarial team and other departments while contributing to a respectful, inclusive work environment
