Job summary

Caton Construction Group is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman for a roadway project in Richmond, Virginia. The role leads a crew to install underground piping systems in accordance with project specs and schedules.

You will plan, supervise, and coordinate work on RCP, CMP, and HDPE piping, read plans, and ensure safety and quality. Overnight travel may be required; a company vehicle or stipend is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of foreman experience in underground pipe installations.
• Diploma or certificate in a skilled trade is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and communicate contract plans and details.
• Use a site level to layout, install, and verify products.
• Plan, organize and lead a crew to successful completion.
• Manage daily work schedule to meet deadlines within an 8 hour day.
• Maintain a safe work environment and request safety supplies in advance.
• Supervise equipment operation and ensure site safety.
• Complete electronic daily reports documenting activities and materials.
• Communicate with State Inspectors and provide input as needed.
