Job summary

Pramira Inc. is seeking an experienced Underground Construction Foreman to lead field crews performing underground fiber optic work. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with underground telecom construction and a solid understanding of fiber installation processes, including proofing, fiber blowing, placement, and splicing.

The Foreman will supervise crews, coordinate daily field activities, ensure safety, and maintain quality standards throughout the project.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience as a foreman.
• Two or more years’ experience operating machinery in standard and high-risk areas.
• One year experience operating a RT80 trencher or similar.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
• Knowledge of highway traffic control standards.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews performing underground fiber optic construction.
• Perform and oversee trenching, conduit installation, potholing, excavation, backfilling, and restoration.
• Read and interpret construction plans, prints, and fiber route maps.
• Coordinate daily work activities, crew assignments, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure proper installation of conduit, innerduct, fiber optic cable, vaults, handholes, and related infrastructure.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Operate and oversee the safe operation of construction equipment.
• Identify and resolve field issues and communicate project needs to management.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production records, and documentation.
• Ensure crews follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety procedures.
